Private Jet
to Serengeti.

The Great Migration on your timeline — not the tour operator's.

About the destination

The Serengeti requires a different kind of logistics from a city destination. There is no single airport — the ecosystem spans 30,000 square kilometres across Tanzania and Kenya, and the right airstrip depends on the season, the migration path and your camp. We work with the most discreet mobile camp operators and lodges in the ecosystem to match your aircraft, your landing strip and your itinerary.

The Great Migration peaks July through October in the northern Serengeti and Masai Mara. We advise clients to fly into Kilimanjaro International or Arusha, then transfer to a private bush aircraft for the final leg. The entire journey — from a European departure to sundowners on the plains — can be completed in under 12 hours.

FAQ

Questions about
flying to Serengeti.

Which airport should I use to get to the Serengeti?

It depends on the season and your camp location. Kilimanjaro International is the main international gateway — from there a bush aircraft connects you to Seronera or whichever private airstrip serves your camp. Arusha Airport is closer to the southern Serengeti and is the standard staging point for the final leg.

What aircraft do I need to reach the Serengeti airstrips?

The final leg to any Serengeti airstrip requires a small bush aircraft — typically a Cessna Caravan or similar. These operate out of Arusha or Kilimanjaro and land on unpaved airstrips within the ecosystem. We coordinate this connection as part of the overall itinerary.

Can I fly directly from Europe to the Serengeti?

Not quite — Kilimanjaro is the closest major airport, and even that requires a connecting bush flight. However, the total journey from London or Milan to a Serengeti camp can be done in under 12 hours with the right planning.

When is the best time to visit the Serengeti by private jet?

July through October for the Great Migration in the northern Serengeti and Masai Mara. January and February for the calving season in the southern Serengeti. Both are extraordinary wildlife experiences and attract the bulk of private aviation traffic.

Can I do a helicopter game flight within the Serengeti?

Yes, and it is one of the most remarkable experiences available. Private helicopter game flights operate from several camps in the ecosystem. We coordinate the booking as part of your full itinerary.
