What your pet
needs to travel.

EU Pet Passport

For travel within the EU and EEA, your pet requires an EU Pet Passport issued by a licensed veterinarian. This records microchip details, vaccinations, and health certificates in a standardised format accepted across member states.

Rabies Vaccination

A valid rabies vaccination is mandatory for international travel with pets in most countries. The vaccination must be administered after microchipping and the pet must wait 21 days after the initial vaccination before travelling to most EU destinations.

Microchip

An ISO 11784/11785-compliant microchip (15-digit) is required for all international pet travel. The microchip must be implanted before the rabies vaccination for the vaccination to count towards travel documentation.

Destination-Specific Requirements

Some destinations — including the UK, Ireland, Malta, and countries outside the EU — have additional requirements such as tapeworm treatment, additional health certificates, or quarantine periods. Prime Jet Brokerage advises on the specific requirements for your route before you travel.

Pet-friendly charter,

Can I bring my dog on a private jet?

Prime Jet Brokerage arranges pet-friendly private jet charters across Europe and worldwide from EASA-certified operators.

Dogs, cats, and many domestic pets can travel in the cabin on a private jet charter. Unlike commercial airlines, there are no breed bans and no weight limits. Exotic animals or livestock require specific permits — contact Prime Jet Brokerage to discuss your specific situation and we will advise on the requirements.

Yes. International pet travel requires an EU Pet Passport, up-to-date rabies vaccination, a microchip, and depending on destination, additional health certificates. Prime Jet Brokerage advises on the exact requirements for your specific route well in advance of travel.

Some operators charge a cabin cleaning fee for pets. Prime Jet Brokerage discloses any pet-related charges upfront and includes them in your all-inclusive quote. There are no surprise fees — the figure you receive is the figure you pay.
